OUR GIN
Our Gin is made using a number of internationally sourced botanicals. The wild Manuka flower is handpicked from the coastal banks of the Matakana region. It was 1769 when the explorer James Cook first stepped onto New Zealand shores. He encountered the indigenous Maori who introduced Cook to the native plant, the Manuka. When Cook learned that its leaves could be used to make tea, he named the plant the Tea Tree.
Seville Orange peel, Croatian Juniper, Bitter Almonds, Coriander, Angelica root, Orrisroot, Portuguese Lemon peel, Liquorice Root, Black Pepper, Cardamom and Cinnamon join our base notes of Vanilla and Coconut.
South Seas purity and quality are integral to the taste profile, lending Ariki Gin a Pacific edge.
OUR VODKA
Our Vodka has hints of Vanilla and is crafted to perfection. The Manuka flower of Aotearoa, New Zealand sets a unique keynote to our spirits. Only the purest New Zealand water is used. The Vanilla is carefully selected by the women of Rarotonga and Mangaia, the southernmost islands of the Cook Islands. These precious beans take a considerable amount of time to mature and develop the depth of flavour required for our vodka. Coconut used for the Vodka comes from the Kingdom of Tonga.
There are no additional flavours, additives, softeners, essence or foaming agents involved in the production of Ariki Spirits.
